Aural rehabilitation is a subspecialty of speech-language therapy that helps people with acquired hearing loss become more socially adept communicators. Hearing aids are frequently advised for those who have hearing loss in order to increase their ability to hear (for more information, see the "Audiology" section). Despite how incredible these tools are, not all communication problems can be solved by them. Aural rehabilitation can also be helpful for those whose hearing loss is too low to now necessitate using hearing aids but who yet struggle with communication and find it difficult to carry out their daily activities.
